This week we had a lot of fun! There were lots of giggles and animal noises in and around Haywards Heath and Cuckfield! While the rain took place outside we enjoyed large animals in our tunnels, bugs in slime, snakes in the sand and cheeky monkeys jumping on our parachute! Please carry on reading below to find out how we explored this theme at Whoosh!
The jungle animals enjoyed a splash in the cool pool down at the waterhole and the logs rushed down our river. We caused quite a SPLASH!
We even tried to make the clouds rain 🙂
The zebras became camouflaged in the foam and the children loved exploring patterns.
The rainforest bugs were hidden in the slime. It was quite sticky and gooey.
*The slime was created by coloured spaghetti, jelly and sweetcorn!
Snakes basked in the hot sand. They made great patterns as they slithered about!
Some of the snakes hid under the sand and under the pots.
We enjoyed the story Monkey Puzzle by Julia Donaldson but here are a few others that support this theme …
- Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
- Giraffes can’t dance by Giles Andreae
- Noisy Jungle by Axel Scheffler
- Walking through the jungle by Stella Blackstone
Enjoy your animal adventures!
Maybe you could visit a wildlife park to find out more about some of the amazing creatures? As always… have fun exploring:)
